3-year Diploma Programme
Auditions for the academic year 2018/2019 will be held on 26-27 February and 3-4 April 2018.
To sign up for audition please fill in the application form. It is only necessary to attend one audition period.

An unquestionable dedication to develop into dancers who will not only meet the international level but wish to exceed and expand it. Sound technical capabilities, a great personal drive, an open mind and a positive approach to possibilities and challenges are essential. Profound basic experience in contemporary dance and ballet alongside extremely high ambition and an exceptional talent for movement is required. It is emphasized that candidates has a strong appetite for developing their artistic reflection and body potential through working at a high physical level throughout the day.
Candidates between 18 and 26 years of age may apply. Dispensation can be given in special cases.
The audition lasts for two days and consists of contemporary dance, ballet, improvisation, performance practice, solo and interview. Each applicant must prepare a one-minute solo without music. Please prepare for the interview by reflecting upon the following questions:
• Where are you in your dance career right now?
• What goals do you have for your dance career, both short term and long term?
• What are your strong mental qualities?
• How do you contribute with an open and positive mindset?
• How do your describe your working mentality?
Applicants will be notified of their admission or non-admission to the course shortly after the audition and latest two weeks after.
Should you be invited to join the programme please accept your place by paying the first instalment of the course fee within 3 weeks.
On the first audition day participants are expected to arrive no later than half an hour prior to the audition to allow time for getting changed, warming up and to complete any administrative formalities. During the first audition day you will be told when to arrive on the second audition day.
Expect to be at the school the entire day both audition days.
You are requested to wear tight fitting clothes throughout the audition. Jewellery and wrist watches are not allowed and hair must be worn tied back, leaving the face and neck clear.
By attending the audition you consent to having your photo taken and maybe used by CCDS for communication and documentation purposes.
Your place at the audition is secured once you have paid the audition fee. The audition fee is non-refundable.
